Topic: Be a Replica of GOD
Text: Genesis 1:26 And God said “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. In the beginning, God created human beings with a purpose to which He said, “Let them be in our likeness.”
A replica of Him. But problem came when God didn’t touch the free will of His creation, the human’s power of choice. Man chose to neglect what God created him to be and ignored his real purpose which paved the door for the devil and allowed problems to enter their life. Whosoever pleases his Creator must maintain the image of God in them.
Be a replica of God, a direct duplicate of Him. When it’s time to face the Lord in judgment, there’s no regret from all points. He created us from glory to glory, for us to be the mirror of His Word reflecting the real image of God which is His purpose in creating us.
How to be a true replica of God?
1. Holiness – 1 Peter 1:16 -Be holy, for I am holy. Live a life that pleases Him. For the Father turned His face from Jesus’ countenance bearing our unrighteousness on the cross.
2. Demonstrate the Love of God – For God is love, so we have to Love God with all our heart for He loved us first. Loving others is a proof that we are replicas of God.
3. Easily forgive – Luke 23:34, One of His characters is forgiveness. We have to overlook the shortcomings done to us as if nothing happened. We must forgive. Like what Jesus did on the cross even though people crucified Him, He still interceded and asked the Father to forgive them
4. Kindness- Acts 11:26, They were first called Christians for they have the Christ-like attitude. They had shown kindness to people. The kindness of Jesus that leads to repentance until today, leading people to follow God
5. Glorify God – God is a God who deserves worship. No matter what your situation is, you ought to praise and worship God. For it’s the only thing here on earth that we will continue to do in heaven. Attitude of worship must be in our blood as proof that we are the real replica of God.
