TITLE: The Presence of God, The Best Access in Life.
Text: Psalm 114:7 Tremble thou earth at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob.
I am very sure that that everyone of us, human beings somehow usually desires some things. Oh , How I wish to have the best car, best house, best job, best husband. You know somehow, we all have admired something to have. But among every other thing, the most important access that every human being must possess in life is called the presence of God. Why? Because every other thing in this world can bring disappointments.
Only the presence of God can never fail you.
Some may have gotten the best car but had an accident and everything is gone..
Some may have got the best house but something happened as it was consumed by the fire.
The greatest joy and greatest happening can only be found in the presence of God. That’s why the Bible says in Psalm 114:7 Tremble thou earth at the presence of God.
The seas parted, mountains skipped , hills levelled.
They saw the presence of God Almighty by the Israelites when they were on their journey to the Promised Land. Jordan returned back, it has never happened in human history that day, the river parted and the people were able to walk on the dry ground.
In the presence of God, your destiny is secured.
It’s the presence of God that guarantees victory in life.
Living without the presence of God will only make human beings become a victim of the Devil. It takes the presence of God to terminate the harassment of Satan. Satan can trouble someone’s life sickness, making happiness a failure, things getting worse and worse.
He can visit the presence of anybody and get a solution for you. You might think , if I can get to the presence of the mayor and have the solution for your problem and as you arrive there the mayor has just left for a trip or if you meet up with another and had the promise of help for you as you will come back in so, so day but just discovered that the one who promised has just died already before the day.
So, only the presence of God guarantees your destiny fulfillment and secures your desired joy as the Scriptures say in Psalm 16:11 In the presence of God is fulness of joy , at the right hands are pleasure evermore.
I’m sure, everyone here on earth wants to have joy and happiness. For there’s nobody who wants to have sorrow. If joy is one of our important goals in life or what we desire in life then God should be our focus..
In His presence, there’s life everlasting. There is a path to life and fulness of joy..So, therefore His presence is to be very very important to everyone.
That’s why the Bible says, if God is for us then who can be against us. .When God is with you, when the presence of God is on you, every enemy of your life will automatically be a loser. Why? Because the presence of God is with you, you will always be a winner. Because you carry the presence of God or else it will be very dangerous..Satan can just make the life of everyone miserable. It will be a very great risk to live in this world without God’s presence.
I have seen many educated people, highly intellectual but lacking with the presence of God
It doesn’t matter what your position in life is, You are maybe in any office , any level of position in life but without the presence of God, the devil can be permitted to touch you anytime,
If he hasn’t touched you, you have to quickly make a decision now because He is still on the way according to the Bible in the book of Job.1, when God asked the devil, ‘ Where are you from?. Why are you here?” Satan replied to God. ” i am moving from one place to another in this world.
So, if you think that you are enjoying it now and everything is okay, ” I’m doing fine, I don’t need any God, I don’t need any Jesus. ” It’s better for you to make a decision right now as you are reading this message,to invite the presence of God in your life because you don’t know, if you are the next one Satan is about to touch as He is moving from one place to another place, house to house to touch the people. Millionaires died, no one is greater than the devil if you don’t carry the presence of God.
You might be a politician with a higher position or somebody whom.people respect but the devil doesn’t respect how beautiful or handsome you are, or how educated you are. What the devil respects is the presence of God in your life.. If you don’t have the presence of God, you may enjoy life for 10 years but the end thereof is dangerous. It’s risky to live a life without God’s presence. Probably, someone says, what do you mean Pastor? ” I have God with me and His presence is with me anytime ” . Anybody can say that but the truth is that you yourself can know if truly you feel that the presence of God is with you or not.
- always called Elisha, my Father. He got to a certain stage again, moved out one day for a war and they lacked things, faced a lot of challenges, attacked by the enemy which he had never experienced like that before until they wanted to kill him and he shouted. What made him face those challenges was because he teamed up with the king whose God’s anger was in that particular king Ahab. They teamed up together, with the one who deceived him. King Jehoshaphat disguised as if He was King Ahab by wearing Ahab’s robe When the enemy saw him and pursued him and discovered that he was just deceived by King Ahab letting him wear his robe.. It doesn’t matter what your name is, how long you’ve been together as friends with God as long as you associate with the people who have the anger of God in them, the anger of God follows you as well. Associate yourself with the people who have the mercy of God, who have the favor of God in their lives, who honor God then you will enjoy the same flow. But if you associate yourself with the people whom God’s happiness is not in them, somehow it might be a big problem. Anything can go away, can fail, can disappoint. Only God’s presence cannot fail or never fail you. But can sustain you and even after this world to take you to where we will dwell forever in His presence. So, it’s a very, very important treasure that no one in this world tries to lose . Hallelujah.
- Value praise and worship. To enjoy God’s presence.
One of the persons in the Bible who enjoyed the presence of God all the days of his life was the man called King David.
What made it happen? He was too addicted to praising God. That is why He enjoyed the presence of God.. If you know how to praise God always, to celebrate His presence, the Bible says, He inhabits the praises of His people ( Psalm 22:3 ) .. He dwells there, the atmosphere of praise and worship in God, that’s where God dwells . God doesn’t dwell in complaining, shouting in the vanity of the world.. He doesn’t care when people are singing and dancing with worldly things , being drunk, shouting and saying while singing, ” Ooh, Im happy to see you”, you are inviting the presence of Satan. God will say, NO! I don’t know these kinds of people. Amen? Be in His presence, do praise and worship in spirit and in truth. You may See His presence and abide with you always. You remember the prophet Elisha , when they needed the presence of God seriously, Elisha said, Bring somebody for me who can play the Harp , let that person play for me. Let there be singing, immediately they started to worship, Elisha said. “Thus saith the Lord ‘. The presence of God came down. The presence of God in your life is very, very important. Never let praise and worship be out of your life . Let everyday of your life regardless of what you are passing through, no matter what is going on around you, keep saying thank You , God, Thank You, Jesus.
Worship him, Praise Him, Exalt Him. The more you praise Him, the higher you will enjoy His presence. Hallelujah! - Be at the gathering of His people.
If you want to enjoy the presence of God, you need to understand that there is a place that God usually manifests Himself.
Do not forsake the assembly of God’s people. ( Hebrews 10:25 )
Ohh, I don’t need to go to the church. I dont like the way the Pastor taught us, I’m really annoyed with him. I have my God in my house, my God is with me. I can do anything I like here in my house. I also have a God. After all, Jesus is the same.
Just go and throw your Pride somewhere You will enjoy the presence of God with that. The Bible says God looks at the proud people far away but honors the humble. God honored them. If you want to enjoy the presence of God, humbly appear in the gathering of God’s people.
Everybody is going to church but you will just stay at home and say, ” NO, I have read the Word of God from Genesis to Revelation. I dont need to go to church, I dont need to do this and that. You don’t know anything yet. It’s just an attack of the devil for you .You need to get delivered by moving to the presence of God where His people gathered together and then the contrary spirit will move out from you. It’s very, very important. If you want to enjoy the presence of God, never forsake the assembly of God’s people.
Whatever you ask no matter who your Pastor is, just be there happily, that you are there not for the presence of your Pastor or a member but for the presence of God. Dont just be there to look at their faults, errors and their complaints . Be there with a joyful heart, to worship God with excitement, to be in God’s presence to serve Him and be part of Him. That’s it. That’s the reason why we are still alive. When the Israelites were there in the land of Egypt, when they dont have enough time to worship God because of the taskmaster, the Egyptians, No! God kept sending Moses and said, Go back to Pharoah and tell my people that they must Go and worship me. I want them to worship me in the wilderness, you make a church for them, I want them to be gathered together. That’s the reason why He created them, tell them.
The only reason why you are still alive is because you can still worship God. To be in the gathering of the people of God, to worship God, it will make you enjoy the flow of God’s presence, enjoy the beauty of His existence. God is real.
Don’t misqoute me, He is in your home as He is everywhere. But one thing God values is the gathering of His people as His Spirit dwells and you will see His moves . For instance, as you are reading this article right now, it’s a gathering of His people, we are more than a hundred People, feeling His presence talking to you.
Never despise the gathering of the people of God. No matter what your church name is, whatever. Make a choice to be in the right place where God’s people assemble and He will bless you. Your money is not your best choice but it’s just a part of it. You may have all the money and everything but have no peace. When you have the presence of God, you have everything.
