Title: Divine Lifting
Text: 1 Samuel 2: 7-8 The Lord maketh the poor and maketh the rich, he bringeth low, and lifteth up.
He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the Lord’s, and he hath set the world upon them.
What is Divine Lifting? What are the benefits of it?
Who will benefit from this kind of lifting?
If God makes the person rich and doesn’t use it for His glory, He makes himself poor.
God can also make the poor rich. He made them low and lifted them. What is the good news about that? It is the lifting up and you’re going higher by entering the chariots of lifting and life will never be the same again.
God can change your status level, from dust and dunghill to your settlement of a higher level.
When God wants to lift you, He will set you first before you start at the bottom. Mockery and persecution will be experienced before Lifting. God aid Those who know me will do great exploits.
Who is your God?
The God, who is the Lifter, Elevator, and who can change your level in life.
Psalm 40:2 – He brought me up also out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.
Maybe you find yourself in a situation that seems like you’re in a pit, struggling to get out as it is hard for you to come up but God can lift you out of the miry clay and set your feet up.
Have you seen a man come out from the mud? Does he or she look beautiful or handsome? Now, yes because God has set you up, lifted you, and changed you.
When the builder of the house sees its foundation and nobody stays there yet Only a foolish person will choose to sleep there for it’s not yet finished.
But when the building is done, people shall surely say, ooh, there’s a millionaire residing there.
This year, there shall be good news about you. God will set you up for your lifting in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.
Do you know what ESTABLISH MY GOINGS, means? That’s when God puts you at the top, no more falling. When you observe that little child starts walking, they easily fall but when they are grown by and by, jumping is very easy for them.
You shall be established, you can fly higher and jump higher.
How will it happen?
Our God did the lifting up of Mordecai, a man who always sits at the king’s palace gate and he became great, a Chamberlain, next to King Ahasuerus.
God the lifting up of Hadassah, the naive lady, who doesn’t know how to coiffure herself and became the wife of King Ahasuerus, Queen of Persia, and Medes, Queen Esther. God did the lifting up of Nehemiah, the King’s cupbearer, and messenger. Suddenly, became the governor of the land. God also did the lifting up Joseph from the pit to Potiphar’s house and from Potiphar’s house to prison and prison to the palace as the Prime Minister of the whole of Egypt God didn’t stop there, He also lifted the stout boy when nobody knows that he will become a great king. Knowing that not only his neighbor looked down on him, even his very own father, but Jesse also didn’t mention his name when Prophet Samuel said that there shall be a king in this family and asked for the names of his children. Jesse didn’t include the name of David because he didn’t expect that his boy (for in his thought David was not fit to be a king ) shall be a great king. David became a Great King as God promoted him to be.
I am glad to tell you, You are the next to be lifted by God in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
It is not about your size, don’t let anybody look down on you. Understand that lifting is by God as He is the Lifter of our life.
There are ladders to lifting and ways to qualify for divine lifting.
1. Choose a righteous living – Psalms 45:7 Thou lovest righteousness and hatest wickedness; therefore God, thy God hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
Many people want to be lifted from their wicked ways when they were lifting Satan and ended in regret.
Only God lifts you. Establish your feet for you to be lifted and you will become a unique person.
When everybody loves to enjoy sin for me I will never sin. You will hate sin and as God anointed you with the oil of gladness greater than others, that is LIFTING.
When you love Righteousness, God will put the anointing of lifting.
All those great men, I mentioned in the Bible that became Great including our Great Papa in our generation, the Common character in them is they love Righteousness and not sin- lover. I fIfu want God to lift you, one of the natures you need to possess is the fear of God. Live a life that fears God. A life that hates wickedness. A life that loved to follow God. And God will lift you. That’s how God lifted Joseph. He might eat all He could and have flesh satisfaction with the official’s wife if He could and would. But He chose not the offer to him instead He might say, Will I do these things to sin against my boss? He didn’t say it but He bravely said that ‘ Will I do these things to sin against my God? ‘
Joseph chose righteousness. Then the King said to him, After my seat, you are next.
God will lift those who love a life that fears God.
2. Humility – James 4:6 But he giveth more grace, Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud but giveth grace unto the humble.
Lifting is not just for everybody. It’s available only for those who will meet the requirement. Humble yourself before God and He shall lift you. In other words, if you don’t humble yourself, if you are kind of an arrogant person, God will never lift you. If you want to be lifted, humble yourself. That’s the secret.
3. Be willing to be lifted – Acts 3: 7 And he took him by the right hand and lifted him: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
As God will lift you, you must be willing first, not to compose the willingness, it must be spontaneous. There are unwilling people even if you have tried to convert them through preaching the Word of God as they don’t want to change.
Peter and John looked at the man begging.
It should not be about the money he is begging for. Peter said he has none of those silver and gold but what you need is healing and deliverance if you have the willingness to be healed. Let’s assume When Peter reached out to the beggar’s hand and refused, there shall never be healing and deliverance.
Immediately, Peter reached out the hands of the beggar and he responded. He lifted his hands and the power of God entered.
Matthew 8: 2 -3 And behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean.
And Jesus put forth his hand and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean, And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
The leper pleaded to Jesus, I am willing to be healed and be delivered, Touch me and be willing to heal me.
Jesus replied as He was also willing to heal and deliver him.
God will never be willing to lift you if you are not willing to be lifted. Now, how do you demonstrate your willingness?
If someone will invite you to come to church but you refuse the invitation to join the fellowship, unwillingness shows.
God’s faithfulness will rescue you for your willingness to be lifted.
4. Ask for it – Psalms 61:1&2 – Hear my cry, o God; attend unto my prayers. From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
If you are willing to be lifted, ask for it. Even if you have gone through different kinds of hardships, pleading and crying unto God, asking, ‘ Carry me up, Lord to the rock that is higher than I.
Lord, get me out of these undesirable circumstances
Are there any changes.?
What do you want God to do for you? Do you want Lifting? Don’t close your mouth when it’s time to pray. Ask for lifting.
5. Imagine lifting – Genesis 11:6 And the Lord said, Behold, the people are one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do; and now nothing shall be restrained from them, which they have imagined doing.
It is called the power of imagination.
If you want to be lifted, it shall only happen based on what you are thinking or imagining about lifting.
If your imagination is always about being poor, it indeed comes to pass and remains in the same status of being poor.
But if your imagination can see riches, it shall surely take place.
We cannot say even if they imagined the contrary but God revealed in that passage that there is power in imagination.
God is revealing that if they imagine being rich, nothing can stop them. so, imagine that you can be lifted and no Satan can oppose it. You will be a successful person, so shall it be.
For there is power in imagination. Imagine your lifting.
Some people look down on you. and you picture it in your mind that you are getting there to your lifting.
Do not imagine that you will die in that sickness or die being a poor person.
It’s not possible. If Jesus Christ
won’t come back yet and I will go back to heaven, there shall be riches I leave for the Apwoaites to inherit. Imagine it, then God is committed to performing them for you. Imagine your children becoming successful, your ministry blossoming, and your life being successful, God will never allow Satan to close your mind because He is committed to bringing them to pass.
I shouted in my preaching as loud as I could because I am imagining that I can see myself in the biggest Auditorium in Asia,
I am preaching in a large throng because I don’t see myself in a small auditorium, a church that you have never seen before. I can see a lot of people viewing YouTube and watching on TV
Or online or personally.
Imagine you own a house, a new car, and a new business,
Imagine, that you are promoted, and new status from glory to glory in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen. Nothing will be restrained from what they imagined. God knows that the word imagine has power.
I am going higher, You are going higher. I am lifted and you are also lifted. Moving up higher, forward ever, bacbackwardver.
6. Embrace the prophetic guide – 2 Samuel 2:1 And it came to pass after this, that David inquired of the Lord saying, Shall I go up into any of the cities of Judah? And the Lord said unto him, Go up, and David said, Whether shall l go up? And he said, unto Hebron.
When David asked God, God answered yes and He went to Hebron and arrived there. God said that every man in the land will be gathered together and put a Crown on his head and declared him a king.
How will you be crowned if you’re not walking in the divine guidance of God? No lifting will be possible without the divine guidance of God. Those of you who love to love life the way you like it is also a waste. You don’t want to tell your leader if you want to do something on your own for you don’t want to be interloped. When everything is already in place, it’s your time to inform your Pastor and let him bless your realized plan which is improper and it won’t work. For it’s not what you think, that God will guide.
Culturally, In Nigeria especially in Christian ethics, before you start your plan, it’s Biblical to consult God first in prayer and ask your mentor, a leader, or Pastor. You might say, I don’t want my pastor to know because I am pretty sure that I won’t be permitted. That’s maybe what you think. That will be the beginning of ceasing the success of so many. Like, I won’t tell my mentor that I have a GF / bf because, surely, I’ll be blocked. Or maybe because you don’t want to be betrayed that your gf will possibly be stolen by another church mate.
If you will not hide the things that I was supposed to know, that God’s divine guidance will be delivered to you for your destiny’s sake, and be aware that you don’t see what I see. I don’t need to tell daddy, I’ll just go on my way, feel free to go and be by yourself. By the time you fail, you alone can help yourself. Stop Living your life without the divine guidance of God, A life without divine guidance of God will be dangerous.
Because I follow God’s divine guidance, that’s why you my readers, and my followers are here, reading this article. If my ministry is in my former place right now, my right place would be empty and many of my faithful followers in the Lord won’t be with me anymore.
When we were in Nigeria, I thanked God for being about to see the Philippines again. To my surprise, God gave me divine guidance not to go back to Davao but to go to Tagum, that’s where I will use you. I’ll bring your people to Tagum from Davao. If God is not with me, will I be here and writing this article for you?
Did you just come because I am a handsome Pastor? Knowing that there are many handsome people in Davao City? Kidding aside, To be honest, I am here because God is with me.
If God is not with me, everything is finished. Thank God for his divine guidance.
Lastly, if you want to be lifted by God.
7. Keep on praising God – Why? Because divine lifting is not only one level but level by level. The journey is far and you need to keep on keeping on praising God.
When God takes you to the next level, be generous in giving praise to God. Don’t stop praising God. Don’t ever think that you are the one doing it. For instance, You may say, ‘ Every time I preach, everyone is trembling, that’s not the way God will be appreciated.
But just simply say Glory be to God alone.
He will lift you from the level of one thousand to the level of a hundred thousand in your account. What is your response about that?
Give God the glory due to His Name. Our Great God may say, ‘ oh, my child has given back the glory to me, as his/ her God. Now I will show my glory by giving him / her millions.
How you started to dance, to teach, evangelize, you use your substance and utilize the gift you’ve got, Give back to God all the glory, and enjoy His Divine Lifting.
