Your Settlement is Near
1Peter 5:10
“But the God of all grace who hath called us unto His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.”
Settlement is an “agreement of paying back what God owes you” as a Christian. To those who are in Christ, there are rewards in heaven for them. They that obey the call of God, follow the Word of God and have given their lives to Jesus. All that they demonstrate will not be in vain, there are rewards from God that will be delivered to Christians at the right, appointed and beautiful time of settlement. And that’s what comprises the accomplishment of settlement we are talking about here.
Jesus Christ our Savior when He came to this world, declared clearly in Mark 10:29-30 –
“(29) And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, there is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s, (30) But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.”
The settlement from God is the reward for you while you (and the believers) are still on Earth and the reward in Heaven where we are going. God, the source of all grace, is a good God, He owes you a lot of promises. His Word is full of promises for us all.
He is ever faithful to bestow you whatever He has promised. There are promises from Him and, humanly speaking, you may be wondering if they are ever true. You may even doubt the promises seeing no signs of them happening. Is He going to respond if ever you asked for them in prayer? I am speaking as an advocate of God’s promises and as a messenger of His Word, I am given this revelation to assure you that His promises are true. The package of rewards is in Heaven and is ready for delivery to you at God’s time. Every time you wake up and find yourself in Christ Jesus means your settlement is near and you are moving closer to your reward.
According to 1Peter 5:10, it mentions, “after that ye have suffered a while”. This refers to suffering perhaps about health, family or finances made heavier by concerns on where to get help. You issue gets deeper when God has not decided to answer your prayer yet. Pastors or fellow Christians are not of help either but remember, God is monitoring you and He sees your situation.
God knows what is happening with you!
Time will come or the day will arrive, God will reward you with a settlement from Him Himself. He will make you perfect in areas where you have failed – you doubted the promises of God, you questioned His integrity when your expectations were not met. God is saying, “after a while,” that is after the refining, He’s going to make you or us perfect and He will reward us with greater blessings. We will then lay hands on businesses and He will give us good success. Where we have failed before, we will no longer be disappointed. Hallelujah!
…stablish and strengthen… – 1Peter 5:10
God will also stablish you and He will strengthen you, too. Where you lack strength – you feel sick and you begin to entertain morbid thoughts – God is going to fulfill the settlement He owes you. He has a covenant to do it the soonest time possible. Sometimes we carry the load by ourselves, wishing to have the financial strength to make us feel better, but God says, “Wait a moment!”
As He said, He Himself will renew us. He will renew our strength and will give us divine strength in all aspects of our lives.
And He doesn’t stop there. He said there will be settlement: He will pay back, reward us with what we deserve in the Lord.
Your contributions in the past must be your zealous attitude in the church service, wholeheartedly taking care of the minister, cheerfully giving tithes and offering, teaching Sunday school and doing other hard work for the Lord. But all your labors seem in vain, your participation unrewarded, your part in the congregation, unnoticed. You must have been waiting for reward but there was nothing to expect. Remember, God is sending you this message, your settlement with Him is fast approaching. Do not give up right away, this is not the time to lose heart and feel remorse.
God will surprise you with loads of rewards. Jesus said you will have hundred folds in return not only in this world but also in heaven. God is good and faithful, and He is able to settle you and your family with His promises and blessings. Everyone who has surrendered his life to Jesus deserves and will gain a reward that God has promised to bless him with.
Your settlement is drawing near!
Most of the time in this life, when God promises to settle his people, they usually traverse severe challenges as the verse mentioned. Some have flanked the exams of life many times. Notwithstanding how frequently the believers fall and fail, once the settlement of God arrives, one day settlement is enough to change a decade of failure. One day settlement is enough to wipe away twelve years of weeping and to turn disappointment upside down. I’m announcing to you that your day of joy is coming, your day of miracle is coming near. Soon, you will celebrate!
You will never see that sickness again. You’ll find that sickness posing as your final destination is not true, because God has settled you with good health.
God is going to settle you! He will give you the right husband, the right wife, the best better-half in life. He will reward you with the best material things and spiritual gifts you deserve from Him. And most gladly, He will grant your anticipated request as you believe in the Word of settlement that He sent me for you today.
God is doing great things that you don’t see physically at the moment. These great things are moving closer to you, the angels of heaven are coming with this trail of blessings and bringing with them your heavenly cargo of miracles. This means your settlement is near and you will never miss it in the name of Jesus.
Now, let’s take a look at the prominent figures in the Bible who received their settlement with God.
Abraham
Genesis 24:1 says, “And Abraham was old, and well stricken in age: and the LORD had blessed Abraham in all things.”
What a good God Abraham served! And what a good God we are serving. God didn’t bless Abram for only a day, He blessed him in all things. Listen to this very important message from God who blessed Abraham. All that He has promised you, shall be fulfilled in the precious name of Jesus! Remember, Abraham didn’t die young. Abraham enjoyed good health and long life. And that will be our portion, as blessed in all things. Hear the Word of God, He will bless you greatly in the precious name of Jesus. Remember the great grandson of Abraham named Joseph and his 13-year settlement saga? Part of Joseph’s life must have been your experience in this life. But after the long years of delay, the account had Joseph naming one of his children, “Ephraim, (Fruitfulness), for God has caused me to be fruitful and very successful in the land of my suffering” – Genesis 41:52
If you’re reading this message now, this year you will experience fruitfulness. This year, God will prosper you and this year, you will receive settlement of blessing and joy from Him.
With the settlement of the Lord, sorrow will cease in your life. In Joseph’s thirteen years of agonizing delay, there came a certain year, God made him fruitful. It will also be your turn. God settled Joseph and this same God Who rewarded him gloriously is still alive. The faithful and persevering Joseph’s season came and so will yours.
When God is about to do something, He usually reveals it to His servant, the one who declares to His people.
Your settlement is on the way coming. Behold I saw this revelation from the room of glory in heaven. Somebody reading this message, your settlement is on the way coming and I am announcing it to you as His servant.
Job.
Job loved God, served God and feared God. But Job was not exempted from trials, pains and burdens in the world. The Old Testament recorded that he lost friends, he lost properties, his money and his health. One day, it was announced that he lost his children.
I’m not sure what the devil has taken away from you. Your blessing is secure. God is bringing back restoration to you.
“So the Lord blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses.”
Job 42:12-17
God gave back to Job good health, blessings and riches. And He gave Job additional properties. The Bible said Job had camels in thousands including donkeys equivalent to many cars in Job’s time. When the settlement of Job came, he didn’t have just one or two but twelve thousand of cars. You don’t have money to buy car and buy your own car. God is going to settle you with more than enough.
The Bible said, the children of Job became the most beautiful in the whole land. God gave him beautiful children that no one in the whole land could compete in terms of beauty. They have got to be the most beautiful and the most handsome children in the land in the time of Job. That’s the most glorious thing that ever happened to him. The most glorious blessing that ever happened. God is going to give you the most glorious blessing that even your colleagues in this generation haven’t experienced before. That will be your portion in Jesus name.
The message is, your settlement is near. Your settlement is in the hands of God no matter what your status in life is, whether some have gone far or you were left behind. God is so faithful that his integrity will deliver your blessings. When He promises, He’s able to do it. It is possible that some people missed the settlement of God without knowing the qualifying principles. It is also possible they get promises from God and miss them at the end.
How do you qualify to have your settlement? And how can you ensure the relationship with God not to fall short of what God has planned for you? God will uphold you and reward you with every great blessing through this divine revelation:
1.Many lost their relationship with God (during or while) in the time of temporary pain. No pain is permanent. After a while, the pain will go but if you cannot endure the pain (choosing to linger with it), you may miss your settlement. 2Corinthians 4:17-18 says, “(17) For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of Glory; (18) While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen our temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.”
The pain you’re suffering now, God allows it for a reason: to qualify you for the coming glory. These situations (of losing, of being afflicted, getting scorned and the like) occur to break us and remold us. Our God permits that little pain so after that we will become perfect, we will be able to stand and not fall because we have gathered experience (gotten equipped) while in a lot of pain. It works eternal weight of glory, which also means an “unending” glory. You will relish this never ending honor in this world all the days of your life. And you will get back to heaven with a glorious welcome because you have paid the price of the weight of endurance.
“(18) While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen our temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.”
The Word of God tells us that there are glorious blessings we cannot see now. There are some glorious blessings that we cannot see physically right now and they are the ones that our God Almighty is preparing. They come with pains (and the present pains you experience now) that are temporary.
Romans 8:18 says, “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”
Whatever you’re passing through now, God is saying, ‘Enjoy it.’ The glory that will be revealed in you soon, is greater. We know the time the devil captures many people is during the time of their suffering, when there is a need for them to have a strong determination to serve God saying “Whatever it is God, I belong to you and I will be yours.” It is during the period of suffering that the devil will offer alternative or ideas to get you out of the hand of God. He came to Jesus saying, “Now, I know before you come to the mountain, you are feeling hungry. You listen to me? This is the stone, turn it into bread and begin to eat.” It’s the foolish devil wanting to take the glory. Imagine? He said to Jesus, “Look, I am willing to give you all the glory, if you just bow down to me”.
Brethren in Christ, in tempting times such as this, no matter what you’re passing through, never be tempted to sell your eternal glory for your current pressing situation because your settlement is on the way coming. You will never miss that glory!
2.Reject Doubt and Negativity
One of the tricks of the devil to make people miss the settlement with the Lord, is to inject negativity into the mind. He has turned many people all over the world rebellious to the will of God. Many don’t even want to hear about God. They have allowed their minds to be polluted by their needlessness for pastors, by their disrespect for preaching, by their idea of self-sufficiency and free will.
But do remember, whether you like it or don’t, one day we will be accountable (give account) to our Creator. We are definitely in the end times, Satan would drive negative thoughts in your head to take the settlement away from you. To deprive you (remember what he does: kill, steal and destroy) of God’s glorious plan for you. Reject it!
Mathew 25:21
“His Lord saith unto him, well
done, thou good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things; enter thou into the joy of the Lord.”
It said, the Master gave talents to all and to somebody, one talent. Instead of him multiplying it or doing something with it, the fool said, “I know you are a bad master, I know you love to harvest what you didn’t plant, you are very wicked, that’s why I didn’t do anything about the talent you gave, I just hid it somewhere there.” God commanded that he be put to the outer darkness where there is a gnashing of teeth, where the people suffer.
While you are still in this world and God is sending me to you right now, remove every negativity in you. No matter what kind of road you are passing through, maybe road of disappointment (caused by a fellow believer, by a minister, or by anyone in your circle), you need to understand that you yourself are not perfect. So, therefore, you need to humbly follow the ways of God and reject every negative thought or idea the devil has brought into your mind. Retaining them inside you allows you to continue having doubts. Excuses like, “Oh, don’t worry Pastor, I know that you are good in talking. You know I’ve been a believer of God for a long time. I’ve been born again long before you did. The promises came with nothing. I don’t believe in that, don’t tell me that.” The more you engage in negativity, the faster you shut the door of your settlement. So, if you don’t want to forfeit your settlement, you must cultivate a positive mind towards God and His Word. Stop being a doubting Thomas.
3.Faithfully Trust God till The End
In the same passage, Mathew 25:21 says,
“His Lord saith unto him, well done, thou good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things; enter thou into the joy of the Lord.”
The Lord told him, “Good of you, servant.
Just because you have been faithful over little, you will be ruler over much.” There is a reward waiting and coming to you. Continue trusting God and be faithful. Trust is greater than faith. Trust is “totally surrendered” and “totally committed” to Him. Trust Him.
Continue serving Him and remain faithful.
You have done great deeds for the fold and rendered commendable services for the Lord but you haven’t seen any reward coming. It seems every prophesy is not coming to pass. Trust Him. The more you trust Him, the faster you are getting closer to your reward. Your settlement is near. God is a faithful God, He will never lie. But He needs you to trust Him. Before He will give it to you, He will strengthen your faith, He will prove your faith. When your faith is being tested and you passed the test of God, that’s when you will have a glorious testimony. If your faith is not tested, you can never have a chance for testimony.
Once your faith undergoes a test, and yet you remain believing, faithfully following Him, your testimony will be one for glory.
I am glad to quote the Book of Proverbs 23:18,
“For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.”
Everything God has promised you will never be cut off if you will remain faithful to the end. Just trust Him. Job 8:7 says, “Though your beginning was insignificant, yet your end will greatly increase…”
You are getting closer to the end. There is going to be a manifestation of miracle and of release of God’s promises. Ecclesiastes 7:8 caps off this revelation with, “The end of a thing is better than the beginning thereof.” Take heart, no matter your circumstances in the beginning of the year, by the authority of God, this is going to be the best year for you. It shall be glorious here for you, in your life, in your testimony. Your long awaited miracle shall be delivered in the name of Jesus. Your life will never be the same again. Never forget, God is able to fulfill what He has promised you. Your settlement is near. Trust Him, obey what you have read today. It is well with you. In the precious name of Jesus!
