UNDERSTANDING THE ANGELS AND THEIR WORKS

For each and everyone of us here on earth, it is very important that we get to know these invisible beings called Angels. This world is not completed without the roles of the angels. You may have many questions about these beings and with the help of the Holy Spirit, we shall be able to understand them deeply.
Check Hebrews 12:22
“But ye are come unto Mt. Zion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to the innumerable company of angels”

The Bible clearly reveals here that there’s a city in heaven called Jerusalem of heaven where the God Almighty dwells as a ruler in the midst of innumerable company of angels. The angels are created in uncountable ways; you can count human beings but not angels, they are so great, they are so many.
There are two kinds of angels, one kind we call cherubim (angels of His presence), the other kind we call seraphim (angels who move the law).

These angels are glorious in appearance, they are beautiful as well. Some angels have wings, even six wings (Isa. 6:2), while others appear without them.
God, Ruler of heaven and earth, Creator of the whole universe, the King of glory in the heaven of Jerusalem, has innumerable angels assigned with different roles to play in heaven and on earth. When we talk about God’s government system, it is the same as the government system of the world. The world system of government has the legislative, the executive and the judiciary branches. The angels are the judiciary arm of God’s heavenly government. They are the enforcer, the ones carrying out the assignment to implement. That is the role of the angels, it’s important we know about it. Angels are not to be worshipped, they are not God. Only God we have to worship. However, we must understand their role in order for us to take advantage of the benefit thereof.

As a Christian, if we don’t understand the role of angels, we may not get the blessings that follow them. Understanding their role and knowing how to get them to work affords us to get the full blessing from God in the life of these invisible beings whom God sent to us or in your life. Many people living on earth are not conscious of the presence of these God’s wonderful beings. Remember, everyone created by God has a guardian angel assigned to them. Many lost their assigned angels along the way and others still have theirs today. Knowing that God is a God of purpose, one of the important roles of these angels is to carry out the task for His purpose.

The angels are Keepers, they are assigned to keep the people of God. Keepers, I mean they protect you and me.
In the book of Psalm 91 where we read in verse 11, it tells us that “He shall give His angels charge over them in their going and coming”. When you are moving, many occasion harms your way, you pass through places that are dangerous. God Himself will protect you through the angels of heaven. That’s why I am sure over a thousand are falling and ten thousand at your right hand they shall not come near you, for He has assigned His angels for you. They are there to protect and keep you in the morning even when you are sleeping and even when you don’t know anything , they will be there and that’s their assignment. Not only that, angels guide. They are assigned to guide you on the way. According to Exodus 23:20, “I have sent my angels before you, and will bring you in the place I have ordained. These are places of greatness which I planned for you, but you cannot reach this without these angels’ guidance”. For human beings and for Christians, the angels’ role is significant, they will make a way to bring you to the palace.

Another thing is Angels rescue, we know this world is full of tricks and traps. Demons are all over places, trapping, destroying people who are falling to the devil’s schemes. Christians overcome all the snares of the enemy with angels at work to deliver and rescue them. In Daniel 6:22, “When Daniel was put in the lion’s den, the king called him and said “Daniel, are you OK?”, Daniel said to the king “My God has sent His angels to shut the mouth of the lions.” All over the world, there are lions, tigers ,snakes and evil agents in different places, but they cannot bite you nor attack you because God will sent His angels for you. In the book of Genesis 19:11-13 the man called Lot and his family were rescued by the angels of heaven. When the people came and said “We are going to attack Lot and the family”, the angels stretched their hands and blinded the troublers and rescued Lot and his family.
God used angels to rescue His people and it happened in Acts 12:5 where the angels are assigned to give strength to the believers. If you are a child of God, the angels of God will be there to renew your strength even when you are getting weak. In Daniel 10:18, “A certain angel in the form of a man came and touched me and suddenly my strength returned.”

You may be too weak to minister one day and suddenly you just got your strength back and you are ministering again- that’s the work of the angel. These angels are assigned to touch your body and strengthen it. Even Jesus experienced the same in Luke 22:43 “and there appeared an angel unto Him (Jesus) from heaven, strengthening Him.

Angels are fighters. They are warriors.
Psalm 35:5 “Let them be,as chaff before the wind; and let the ANGEL OF THE LORD CHASE THEM.” Angels are to pursue you. God is sending His angles to defeat your enemy in the name of Jesus.
In the book of 2 Kings 6:11-18, there is a certain King in Syria that wanted to destroy the man called Elisha. The king sent many of his soldiers to destroy the prophet. The angels played a great role in this, when God opened His eyes, Elisha saw the multitude of angels with chariots and discovered that those who are with him are more than those enemies surrounding them. God has great angel fighters for you. They are greater than the enemies that are in the world. Never be worried then of how great the enemies may seem, the angels of God are more able to destroy the weapons of the enemy.

Revelations 12:7 reveals that Michael and all the angels fought against the dragon (the devil, the old serpent, Satan).
God’s angels are great fighters.
They are the ones to blow the last trumpet when Jesus Christ will be coming back. They are going to come back with a scream for heaven when we will join them together and we will also become like the angels and we’re going to be glorious. We will stay together in Jerusalem of Heaven and enjoy the presence of our glorious King forever. Hallelujah!

I am sure it is going to be an exciting convergence up there where there’s no sickness, no evil. While we are here in this world, we need to make use of the advantage of the heavenly beings called angels. It doesn’t matter who you are in Christiandom, if you don’t know how to put your angels to work for you, they may not work at all. We need to know how to put the angels to work to make use of them to the maximum.
For example in the Bible in Zechariah 3:3 the Chief Priest Joshua, he was dirty, the devil came and stood beside him and put on him a sinful garment. Because this man does not know how to put his angel to work, they are watching him when the devil was harassing him as a chief priest, they ordered him until the Lord told the angels “Do this!” and they removed the garment and put a glorious garment.
(Prayer: I’m speaking by the authority and in the name of Jesus and I declare every angel assigned for your glorification, for promotion to begin to work now in the mighty name of Jesus -APWO)
Angels, according to the Bible excel in might, they can pass through the door without opening them, they come to rescue when there’s a car accident they can rescue people from any angle. They are the heavenly 911… they are there to rescue, to fight and to defend you.

How do we put our angels to work and to commit them to do their service.
How will you be able to enjoy them, how are they going to cooperate with you, how they will work happily in your life.

By the grace of God, there are five (5) ways:

1. Fear God. The angels love people who fear God.

Psalm 34:7 The angels of the Lord encamp round those that fear Him. As long as you have the fear of God, you have the fear of God in your heart, not to commit sin against the Word of God, you need the fear of God to live a Godly life, the angels will become your best friend, they will become your companion because you fear God. Not only that, angels can be put to work if you don’t provoke them.

2. Beware that you do not provoke the angels by your attitude.

Exodus 23:21 says, the angels go before you to keep you and to guide you. Be careful never to provoke them. Human beings can provoke the angels and certainly often enough, many people received two angels and only one remained. Some received ten angel, all already returned back to heaven. The heaven says “Why did you come back here, you were assigned to be inside this so-so person. The angel said “We cannot be there because we can see how badly he’s doing. We can’t abide in such a person even though he is good outwardly, deep inside he isn’t.
Do not allow anything to take away your angel. The angels can see what human beings cannot
Nothing can be hidden from them. People may see humans and respect them because they see in them goodness but inside them, in a secret place they do evil. Angels can’t abide in such people. People who talk against their pastors, cause trouble among the brethren, do harm to God’s servants. These are some of the reasons angels go back to God.
We also provoke angels by disobedience: liking to do and choose own will, saying “we can take it from here and let me live my life the way I want it”. The angels will guide and you will not have their service if you do not follow their direction. These shall not be their report about you in heaven.

3.In addition to see angels to work is to speak their word.

Psalm 103 :20 “Bless the Lord His angels that hearken unto the voice of the Lord.” The angels will not follow the word of the enemy, they will never follow what people say about you. Angels will only follow the word of God. If you’re a Christian and you want your angels to be at work always, always declare the Word of God. “It has been written about me”, “That He assigned angels in my going and in my coming back”. This way, no demon will stand in your way. The angels guide and inspire you. This is because angels will be clearing the way, because you are declaring the Word.
It has been written of you that He shall supply your needs according to His riches in glory through Christ Jesus. You need to have the Word of God inside you and listen to the Word. Read your Bible everyday, the angels will hearken every word declaration. That is what the Bible says: Speak The Word.

4.If you want angels to be on your side, you want to enjoy the benefit of the angels, LOVE HOSPITALITY. Hospitality is about attending to, taking care of and loving visitors.

Hebrews 13:2 tells us about people when they are entertaining visitors, they actually are welcoming, valuing and entertaining “angels”.
In Genesis 18:1, Abraham had been believing God for a baby called Isaac. For 24 years, no baby! Sarah could not conceive as Sarah knew that she was past the productive age. But one day, the angels of God came in the form of men. Abraham welcomed them, gave them water, offered them food and took care of them. After that, they told him that by this year they shall have Isaac. That’s what brought forth the miracle. If you don’t know how to take care of the visitors, you will miss the ministration of the angels, you will miss the blessings of the angels when you don’t know. You must learn if not, know how to love, help, welcome and take care of the visitors because you will never know when they are coming for a visit with the blessings. To share a testimony which I shared many times, when I started ministering that’s when God started to change my life. I barely had anything, food and things were scarce in those days. I was crying and praying for God to provide for my needs. A certain pastor whom I didn’t know, came to visit me. You know that situation when you didn’t have money or resources and did not want to have visitors. He didn’t even tell me that he’s coming for I had no cellphone that time, so he came. He showed up and told me he was a Pastor and that he came to visit me. Even I don’t have food at home, I,cannot think it possible “how come one visit me in that situation” I took a step, looked for a way to get milk and bread for him and entertained the man. After eating the food, he left. I heard the voice of the Lord clearly telling me, “Paul, you have been calling me to visit you since you were hard up for days and now I have visited you, I would change your life.”

Since that year, food has never been my problem, until today. It will never be my problem again. You don’t know when your angel would come. That Pastor who visited me, I haven’t seen him again since. I don’t know where to find him, you see! God can visit us anyway, like a human being. Be aware that your kindness can bring angelic blessings to your life.

5.If you want angels at work in you, speak the language of the angels (speak in tongue).

If you speak English as your mother tongue, you are speaking the language of this world. But when you move to speaking in the Holy Ghost, speaking in tongue, if you have received baptism in the Holy Spirit and you are speaking in tongue, what you are doing is simply speaking the language of the Holy Spirit, the heavenly language.
1 Corinthians 13:1 “If I speak prophecy, or in the language of the angels,… though I speak with the tongue of men and of angels”. These tells us that there are two kinds of tongue: your mother language or mother tongue (either English or your dialect) and the tongue language of the angels. When you are speaking in tongue, you are talking to heaven. Angels quickly understand what you are saying and they get into action. So when you have the gift of the Holy Spirit, do not quench it, it connects you to heaven.
When you do all these it is guaranteed that you will never lose the companionship or the company of angels. They will always work for you, make a way and fight your enemy and you will have victory. They are there for you, moving in your life, taking care of you, committed to do your service bodily and spiritually.
Talking about angel ministration and angelic word will never be complete without mentioning human angels. God has a good plan for you. Greater things He want to do in your life. There are people who are close to you who have the mission of angel and they will have part in the great plan of God. They are called Destiny Helpers- human angels whom God assigned to you, and many people have been missing the chance with these helpers.
Remember Joseph, he became the Prime Minister in the land of Egypt. Inside the prison, Joseph was with an inmate (ex-cupbearer) who came from the palace of the King, Though he appeared, as a prisoner like Joseph, God used this same person to bring Joseph to the palace.
We may expect angels to help us to our destiny but there are instances, some people we meet they appear under-rated, they look like beggars, or prisoners and yet they maybe the one to help us tomorrow. Joseph was wise enough to foresee this and believe that destiny helpers with him inside the prison would bring him to the palace. It is the same with people connected to you right now, treat them with kindness because someday they’re going to invite you to the palace. We can never reach the higher level in life alone as there are people God has assigned as human angels to support us. They may be your pastors or one of your leaders, if you pull them down or destroy them, if you think you are pulling them down , you are actually pulling down your tomorrow. We perceive people quickly to be not the right people God will use. We underestimate them, they may be your wife, your boss or colleague, do not despise anyone. They may be you angels in human form. Remember Naomi, Ruth became successful because of her. Three followed Naomi, two failed but not Ruth. Ruth observed that Naomi is the angel of God sent to fulfill her destiny.
Some of us when we expect our destiny helper, our angels in human form, we expect them to be already “so blessed” or “great” already. Sometimes, the person that will be an angel to help your destiny tomorrow may appear like a beggar today, may appear today like someone underrated, or looked down on. You cannot predict tomorrow. The man may appear like a prisoner, but the man Joseph was wise enough to foresee that this is the destiny helper and he spoke to the man “Someday, when you return to the palace, remember me!”. There are persons that God has connected to your life now, treat them well because someday, they’re going to invite you to the palace.
You feel that they may not be the right person God will use for you, if they were, we couldn’t struggle like this. Don’t misbehave to anyone.
Remember Jonathan and his best friend, David. David would have died before his time. Jonathan saved him from his father (King Saul) who plotted to kill David. These are human angels, like Jonathan, that God would send to you. With all the anointing of the God of Moses, Moses would have killed himself ignorantly if not for the help of his father in law Jethro who advised him on what to do and to be. We need to understand these so when you are moving in your life, destiny in the journey, God will bring some human-like angels in your way.
Do not despise them when they come on your way, don’t quickly conclude because of what you superficially see in the present situation. Perhaps when tomorrow comes, they will no longer be there.
Take note that God has sent so many to you, He sent me as an angel to send this message to you. As you hear my message never despise it, it might be because of you that God sent this message, don’t provoke your angel.
